James Basnet, a Gospel music artist from Nagaland will be performing at the 2015 IMEA Awards to be held on 24th October at the Marietta Performing Arts Centre, Georgia, USA.
For those who don’t know, IMEA (International Music and Entertainment Association) is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting and serving as an advocate to individuals and organizations within the performing arts and entertainment industries. The IMEA Awards were developed to honor and recognize the best in independent music and entertainment, internationally. IMEA Awards are presented annually.
Last year around this time, we wrote about him and requested our readers to vote for him as he was nominated for IMEA awards under three different categories.
Well, he eventually went on to win two IMEA awards!
He is the first Artist from the entire NE region to win the IMEA awards and also the first from India to win the awards under the Gospel category. Since then he has toured in various places in the US including Minnesota, North Dakota, Texas and Atlanta.
Even this year, James Basnet has been nominated for the IMEA awards under three categories:
1. Christian/Gospel Artist of the Year
2. Christian/Gospel Song of the Year
3. Christian/Gospel Album of the Year
