Two students from North East region, one from Manipur and the other from Meghalaya has bagged Gold Medals in their respective field from Periyar University. For those of you who don’t know, Periyar University is an NAAC A – 3.15 CGPA (out of 4) university located at Salem District in Tamil Nadu.
GAITHUILUNG. R a Rongmei Naga from Manipur was awarded the Gold Medal in MSc Environmental Science while Miss Daiamonglang Rani from Shillong, Meghalaya bagged the Gold Medal in Food Science and Nutrition.
The medals were awarded on the Annual Convocation ceremony held on 16 September 2015. So far three students from NE region had bagged Gold Medals from Periyar University. Prior to them one Miss Tamthingla Shatsang had bagged a Gold Medal in Environment Science.
