Naga traditional attire has apparently found its way to the Pope!

Bishop of Kohima, Most Reverend Dr. James Thoppil after general audience on April 15 in St. Peter’s square at the Vatican met Pope Francis and presented him a Naga headgear and a Naga shawl. 

 According to a release by Bishop’s secretary, Kohima Fr. Thomas Toretkiu it was a “moment of pride” for Nagaland as when the Pope put on the headgear over a lakh of people clapped and applauded the Pope.  The release stated that the Pope accepted the gifts and assured the bishop of his prayers and good wishes to all Naga people.
