The wait is finally over as the official announcements for ShiRock 2018 is out! SteelHeart and Queensrÿche will be performing for the first time in India at Bakshi Ground, Ukhrul, Manipur as part of the ShiRock 2018.
And that’s not all. It’s also calling all the rock bands from Northeast India for ShiRock Band Competition 2018 for some pretty awesome prize money. The following prize money are up for grab:
- First Prize – Rs 10 Lakhs
- Second Prize – Rs 5 Lakhs
- Third Prize – Rs 2.5 Lakhs
- Six individual prize of Rs 25k each!
Yap you read it right! The winning band will walk away with Rs 10 Lakhs.

About Shirui Lily Festival
Manipur will celebrate its State Flower- Shirui Lily at the Shirui Lily Festival from April 24-28, 2018 at Ukhrul district. The festival will feature demonstrations of the age-old traditions and culture of the inhabitants of the district of Ukhrul.
Live music, cultural shows, beauty pageants, exhibits, folk songs, traditional dances and indigenous games and sports competitions like the Shirui Lily Grand Prix will form part of the celebration this year. The festival is being sponsored by the Department of Tourism, Manipur and organized by the Shirui Lily Festival Organizing Committee.
Manipur Tourism aims to spread awareness about the endangered Shirui Lily and promote the district of Ukhrul as a must-visit tourist destination in Manipur through this festival. Manipur Tourism recognizes the importance of Shirui Lily as the State Flower of Manipur and the event is a part of its efforts to develop and implement sustainable and responsible tourism in the State #ShiruiLilyFestival2018
