This year, the prestigious competition held under the theme ‘Togetherness’ featured 9 choirs from around the North East India communities. Around 2,000 people attended the event where multiple talented artists from the North East also performed.

Losü Dikho and Nemcha Kipgen, Cabinet Ministers from Manipur graced the event as chief guests. The judges of the choral contest comprised of Lindsay Boyd, Mira Boyadzhieva and Priya Wacziarg Enzel.

NEICC, which began in 2012, is an event that encourages and gives platform to talented musicians from North East India communities, the release mentioned.

The event was divided into two sessions – a choral competition followed by combined worship service. Jim Joy of Global Harvest Ministries International was the main speaker at the service. His message resonated with the theme of ‘Togetherness’ exhorting all to ‘walk in unity’.

NEICC is curated by the Tangkhul Christian Charitable Trust (TCCT), a non-profit body for the less-privileged masses, with special attention to the North East.
