LYRICS
DISASTER WILL be PASSED,
Have mercy on me, O Lord.
Have mercy, for my soul takes refuge in you.
I will find shelter in the shadow of your wings till the disaster has passed.
I call you God the most high, who has done everything for me.

When I looked inside myself, I can see that my soul is dying.
When I close my eyes, I see that my soul is crying alone.
Awake my soul, Awake, O Guitar! I will wake the dawn
To strengthen my soul which is dying, and to lift up which is crying.

They have set a snare for my steps; my soul was bowed down in distress
for your love reaches to the heavens and your faithfulness to the clouds.
You have save, my soul once again, now I will sing praise to you.
Be exalted, O God above the heavens! Let your Glory be over, all the world.

The song was recorded at Purple Haze studio Mumbai while the video was edited by Mr Wungthing Shadang

North-East United FC’s Foreign Signings

0

The John Abraham owned Indian Super League franchisee NorthEast United FC might be the first club to have been named after an entire region and not just a city. Hailing from the most unexplored part of the land with it’s home stadium in the city of Guwahati, the club comprises of a vast array of homegrown talent in the beautiful game. After finishing in the top 4 for two consecutive seasons, 2017-18 was a disaster for the club. A rock-bottom finish in the ISL Points table wasn’t one the management and the fans had expected. Terrible performances, one after the other had led to the downfall.

Portuguese coach Joao de Deus was sacked and replaced by ex-Chelsea gaffer Avram Grant. The Israeli has been replaced by Dutchman Eelco Schattorie for the ISL 2018 season. The former East Bengal coach is experienced in the Indian turf, and might just be the right person to lead them to the past glory days.

The NorthEast United FC has made seven foreign summer signings ahead of this season to bolster their squad.

  1. Mato Grgic (Croatia – 30 years – Central Defender) – Having played in Croatian first tier football clubs, Inter Zapresic and MTK Budapest, Mato will bring in loads of big match experience and solidify an otherwise weak defense.
  1. Bartholomew Ogbeche (Nigeria – 33 Years – Centre Forward) – Since starting his career at Paris St. Germain, Bartholomew has become more of a journeyman, plying his trade in clubs like Alaves, Valladolid and Middlesbrough. He has been a sort of late-bloomer, hitting double figures in goals whilst at Camburr and Willem II in the Dutch Eredivisie. NUFC will benefit from the Nigerian centre forward still in form.
  1. Juan Cruz Mascia (Uruguay – 24 years – Centre Forward) – In Juan, NUFC has struck gold. Fresh out of Uruguayan First Division with Plaza Colonia, where he had maintained a 0.5 goal/game ratio, the lanky striker might turn out to be one of the best in the competition. His youth, speed and natural Latin American flair is all set to light ISL 2018 alight.
  1. Mislav Komorski (Croatia – 26 – Central Defender) – The Croatian defender is a product of the youth system of UCL regulars Dinamo Zagreb. Born in the capital city itself, Mislav is a tall robust player, known for his aerial prowess. The left-footed defender pairing with the experienced Mato at the back is sure to be a nightmare for the strikers in the league.
  1. Federico Gallego (Uruguay – 28 – Attacking Midfielder) – The winner of the Uruguayan Segunda is quite experienced in taking down opposition defences in the lower reaches of his home league. Whether he will have the capacity to completely adapt himself to an entirely different culture needs to be seen.
  1. Jose Leudo (Columbia – 24 – Central Midfielder) – The ex-Atletico Huila midfielder hadn’t exactly set the world alight in the Columbian First Division, but NUFC might hope that the midfielder has what it takes to control the game in a fairly young competition.
  1. Augustine Okrah (Ghana – 25 – Attacking Midfielder/Winger) – His stop-start career hasn’t helped him cement a place anywhere he had been playing so far. Although he had scored 5 in 4 games for the National U20 side, his club career hasn’t been remarkable. Once again NUFC will be hoping for him to fire on all cylinders against relatively easier opposition.

Be it sharing your beautiful photos or sharing your short video clips or your musically videos, Instagram is where all the youths are spending our time. 3. TRIBE: TRIBE is an excellent platform for influencers who only have a few thousand followers. The process of working with brands on the platform is fairly simple. You just need to find brands that you already use and are a fan of. You can then create a post for that brand and submit it for review. Once approved, you get paid within 48 hours.

You can bid a certain amount for every like on the Instagram post you create for a brand.

6. Shoutcart: Sell a “shout out” to your audience on behalf of a brand, regardless of how large your following is.

7. Fohr Card: Connect your Instagram, blog, YouTube channel, and other social platforms to create an influencer “card” that shows your different profiles and total reach for brands shopping around for a partnership. You also get access to a list of brands and their wants, so you can take the initiative to reach out too.

8. Grapevine: If you have 5000 or more followers, you can list yourself in the Grape Vine marketplace for the opportunity to work with like-minded brands.

Some guy from Russia made a porn website with the domain name bjpassam.org

0

Some guys from Russia had made a porn website and hosted it under the domain name bjpassam.org (you don’t wanna open the link). We don’t know what’s his intentions are but we are sure it will make a lot of confusion when someone landed up on the website after searching on the google for BJP Assam.

This, of course, is not the website of Assam BJP and is in no way affiliated or related to the website. Their official website can be accessed by the domain www.assam.bjp.org.

So we dig a little deeper to check up on the domain name bjpassam.org. The domain is relatively new and was registered only on 10th March 2018. The domain is registered under the name of Silaev Dmitriy who is a resident of Russia.

However, in just a short span of time, the web developer seems to have played very well with SEO (Search Engine Optimization) as can be seen by the sitelinks in the google. Unless one is a master of SEO, it normally takes time to appear in Google with sitelinks. But, this guy, who registered the domain on 10th March 2018, have managed the SEO well that the sitelinks have appeared on Google search.

Not only that, the site seems to be pretty busy with traffic. We checked the Alexa ranking and traffic details from Similarweb. This is what we found out!!!

bjpassam.org Alexa ranking in India is 28,508

As per Similarweb, bjpassam.org recorded 887k site visits in the month of April 2018. That’s way more than many of the local news website of  NE, including ours!!!

We are sure, whoever this guy is, really knows how to handle SEO!

Well, as per the news reported in GPlus, the local BJP members have registered a case against the same.

Meet the first English fiction writer from Manipur’s Tangkhul community

0

By Vangamla Salle K S ANI |

New Delhi [India], May 15 (ANI): Literature remains the greatest tool of storytelling and indubitably India’s northeast region has spawned many published writers in various genres.

Joining the latest band of authors is Jim Wungramyao Kasom, hailing from Manipur’s Ukhrul district.
The eldest among the six siblings, Jim made his debut at the writers club with his first ever book ‘Homecoming’.

It is a collection of nineteen short stories, which was launched in New Delhi recently.
These stories feature a partial historical fiction tale of the Northeast people India, particularly of the Naga tribe covering a historical span of 100 years from the advent of Christianity to present time, the arrival of Japanese soldiers during WWII, and among others untold stories of ordinary people caught up in political upheavals.

“I grew with three of my grandmothers, my paternal grandma, her sister and my maternal grandma and they have a huge impact on me as I was growing up. I grew up in a small village, where there are just around 200 households and everyone knows each other by their names. So it is a very close-knit community where we emphasised a lot on storytelling and passing on the stories through oral tradition. And that practice of storytelling has inspired me to write the stories that are in these collections,” Jim told ANI.
A graduate in Zoology, Jim confessed that literature has always been close to his heart and he envied his friends who studied the subject.

“The title Homecoming is part of the collections and these stories are so close to my heart that if I go back and read them, it feels like a homecoming to me…So it brings together the elements of a being a family and of a close-knit community where I belong to”, added the young author.

Writing gives this young author the freedom to travel without borders and create a space for his envisaged world.

“The challenges I had faced were; I worked full-time as a photographer or as a storyteller. So I couldn’t give too much of time in writing, so I am not a prolific writer in that sense since I write one or two stories a year. And also I am not financially secure to completely abandon my profession and start writing. And another challenge is, it is very hard to find publishers especially for the people of northeast and we don’t have huge readers, being a small community,” laments Jim.

It is also worth noting that, his work has been published in many online literary magazines and journals like Narrative Magazine, Muse India, Reading Hour Magazine and Contemporary literary review among others.

As photography and writings are two entities of storytelling, Jim hopes to continue to do both and pen down a novel in coming years. At the same time, to be unique and creative, Jim feels that one needs to be original and stick to the roots for inspiration.
