​Jano Nyekha wins Best Folk Fusion award at Radio City FM

An eighteen year old musician from Nagaland, Jano Nyekha who wrote her own original song ‘Aahoh’ won the award for the Best Folk Fusion at India’s biggest Indie Awards, the Radio City FM Freedom Awards 2017 which was held at Hard Rock Cafe, Mumbai on March 22.
Radio City regional associate, indihut was represented by content manager Nikope Koza and the ceremony was attended by the glitterati of Mumbai along with music producers, musicians and music labels. The Best Folk Fusion award was accepted by Jano’s elder sister Nezelu on her behalf.

Jano wrote her original song ‘Aahoh’ when she was sixteen years old and won the Best Folk Fusion category 2016 on Nagaland based www.indihut.com which nominated her music to compete at the national level at the Radio City Freedom Awards with more than 500 entries from across the country.

The song was recorded at Tribes Music studio, Dimapur. indihut is associated with Radio City FM as the regional music partner for North-East India. Radio City is the first private FM radio broadcaster in India.
